How to Survive Sixth Grade

Organization or Omission

The most important thing to do in sixth grade to succeed is staying organized.  At the beginning of the year, every student receives a planner.  In every class, there is an agenda on the board.  I recommend writing the things you are doing in class one color and your homework in another.  Staying organized is key to surviving sixth grade.  You should keep separate folders or binders for each class.  Use tabs to separate different ideas like references or homework.  Every folder should be labeled clearly.  Each weekend, you should take out your planner and look at all the homework assignments.  Look at the dates everything is due and make a list of the order all your assignments are due.  Things that are due first should be at the top of the list and anything due weeks away should be at the bottom.  Everyone wants to survive sixth grade with excellent grades.  The people who get all A’s are usually very organized.  It only takes four simple steps to be organized: use your planner, have different binders or folders for every class color code your homework, and make lists of your homework.  As you can probably tell, to survive sixth grade with high marks, you must stay completely organized.
